We sat down with the creator of Prism; a diceless RPG set in an Aquatic world, that explores relationships. The game has some interesting setting features as well, with it’s gods, families, and codes of ethics.

Welcome to Arcus, an island city. Floating in the sea of clouds. Populated by refugees, academics, mystics, criminals, and entrepreneurs. All of them survivors of a shattered world. We join a group of scoundrels fresh out of Bedlam, looking to carve out a place for them and theirs. Hopefully we’ll see them grow into a powerful organisation, and overcome daring obstacles. We might also see them suffer. Strife from their past, their relationships, and their ambition will all test their resolve.
Should they endure, glory awaits them!
Join us, in our longest series to date. In a world of our own creation; built using The Quiet Year, and run using Blades In The Dark. This is Blades In The Dark: Arcus.
The final part of the Jotun Moot mini campaign. We might return to these characters, but where we’ll find them is a mystery.
If you enjoyed it, let us know!
This week we square up to a Jotun for the first time with perhaps; too many plans.
Enjoy this session of Dungeon World!
Session 1 of our Dungeon World game! And we open with so many good jokes! There is a small amount of background noise in this episode, but nothing to loud or persistent.
But enjoy the Adventures of Gib and Claviovarsus! Two Adventurers thrust together by the chaos of fate.
We’re playing Dungeon World again, and honestly it’s a delight. Character creation, Setting generation, and picking a quest! All of that and a little bit more, in this session zero episode with Ellery, Fin, and Ray.
We were asked by Burning Games to play their new game about the colonisation of America by monsters who ride into war on dragons. It’s meant to be a game that deals with issues of exploitation and prejudice but honestly; I don’t think they take a hard enough stance.
We had fun playing the game, so I hope you enjoy listening to us fumble our way through temples, and jungles, and strange monsters. This was the first time we’d played a card resolution RPG on the show as well, so enjoy that. (more…)
CW: Violence, corporal punishment, kidnapping, colonialism.
We did a crossover of sorts recently. We had Lachlan from Fantasy Cartography on the show to play a little bit of The Deep Forest with us. It was a blast!
For those that are unaware, The Deep Forest is a collaborative map drawing game built off of The Quiet Year. It’s about communities reestablishing themselves in a postcolonial world. The hardships they face, and how they overcome them. Our game feature some violence, and a few absurd jokes; but we still played to the subject matter, so just be aware that it might be a bit emotional for some.

It’s the last episode of Blades In The Dark; of course the players don’t know that.
The Spectres are breaking into prison to break someone out of prison…and oh my, the prison is Bedlam. A warren of impetus infused restraints, cells, locks, and doors. Wardens with strange other worldly power. A space void of light, hope, and peace of mind.
Hopefully the Spectres all get out safe!
Happy holidays, this is the last episode of [insert quest here] for 2017. You’re all wonderful people and we are looking forward to making content for you next year. New episodes will be back on the 8th of January.
In this episode though Fazio is back in prison, and Zephira is trying to solve Nain’s possession problem. The whole time setting up for a score in bedlam.
