Interview with DC, designer of Mutants in the Night


[CONTENT WARNING: There is a brief mention of the struggles of dealing with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts in this episode.]

This week we interviewed an up and coming Game Designer from the States; DC.
DC is working on an adaptation of Blades In The Dark, called Mutants In The Night. It’s got some really interesting themes of community. And looks at many of the experiences of non dominant social groups; with a focus on African American, and Queer communities.

Hack The Planet, interview with Fraser Simons


We heard about an awesome game being made on Kickstarter recently, and we just had to talk to the designer.

Fraser Simons is the creator of Hack The Planet; a cyberpunk, climate fiction, Blades Hack. He took the time out of his morning to chat with us about his cool new project.
We’re very excited to see Hack The Planet get released, for whole bunch of reasons. Including, the fact that some Australian writers are contributing to it!

[Blades In The Dark/The Quiet year]: World Building Arcus

In this week’s episode we share with you how we created the setting for our Blades in The Dark campaign, using a map drawing game called The Quiet Year. 
After we finished up the game Fin went and listened through the whole episode, extrapolating changes, and cutting the fat until we had a nice consistent setting. Then he drew us a kick ass map! 
We hope you all enjoy this look at a cool little thing we did.

[Blades In The Dark]: Arcus 22

It’s the last episode of Blades In The Dark; of course the players don’t know that.

The Spectres are breaking into prison to break someone out of prison…and oh my, the prison is Bedlam. A warren of impetus infused restraints, cells, locks, and doors. Wardens with strange other worldly power. A space void of light, hope, and peace of mind.

Hopefully the Spectres all get out safe!

Happy holidays, this is the last episode of [insert quest here] for 2017. You’re all wonderful people and we are looking forward to making content for you next year. New episodes will be back on the 8th of January.

In this episode though Fazio is back in prison, and Zephira is trying to solve Nain’s possession problem. The whole time setting up for a score in bedlam.
